Today is the last day of October and I have just finished the very last issue of Business 2.0. This has been my favorite magazine since 2005. This is the only magazine I read cover-to-cover. It is a sad day indeed. Like most everyone out there, I get a lot of daily info from blogs, online information sites, feeds, etc. But I always go to Business 2.0 for supplemental and in depth coverage you just don’t get on a blog. I have gained a lot of valuable knowledge from it. Not just industry info, but insights into how to run a business and market your product.
I don’t claim to know anything about the financial health of the publication, but I wonder why they couldn’t have tried to increase the subscription cost. I along with many of their loyal readers would have payed $5 per issue if need be. All we can hope now is that Business 2.0 may be reinvented as a stand alone online publication a la RedHerring.

1That’s too bad. I would like to find a reliable source of information. I love going to Barnes &Noble and looking for some business and marketing magazines. I used to like entrepreneur magazine, but I think I’ve reached the point where I need more actionable information. Let us know if you find a replacement for business 2.0.
