Based on what I have been hearing and seeing of the later half of 2007, I think the following trends will either hold and come about in 2008:

• Interactive design will be at a premium
• More and more community / crowd sourcing sites around health care & energy efficient / green tech will spring up
• Agile development practices will soon find its way from programming to design
• Web wigetization and open APIs will continue to be integral parts of all applications
• 3G iPhone will be a game changer for the mobile web and relegate Android to a tier 2 player
• Facebooks apps will still struggle to monetize
• Large social network will open up somewhat but continue their walled garden pracices
